I am a freelance writer, guidebook author, trip leader,
and occasional firefighter. I believe in the philosophy of Outward Bound and the ideals of its founder, Kurt
Hahn, and I try my humble best to employ them in my writing,
traveling, and teaching. Here is my resume.
I travel often to Nicaragua, Belize, and other places from my most recent base camp in Boulder, Colorado. I have worked a wide variety of seasonal jobs to support my writing habit, many of which have required me to travel. My latest big trip was a 16-month honeymoon around the world, the inspiration for my next book.

in Tourism, Adventure/Travel, Environmental Issues, Wilderness Education,
and Volunteering Abroad. My areas of expertise are Central
